Graduations symbolize the ending of a chapter and the beginning of a new one. They're the dawning of a new age and the looking forward to whatever the future holds. Expressing all of this in a photograph is no simple task, but the result that became of Maria's photoshoot was rather fulfilling.

This photoshoot consisted of running around in the sticky humidity of Kansas. I had forgotten to put the card in my camera and had to run back for it, at which point we wondered if we should schedule it for another day. While my lungs nearly gave out, I'm glad we didn't reschedule. It ended up being a perfectly overcast sky and the architecture and marble provided a very studious backdrop.

Graduating is a high achievement, and photographs are a beautiful way to commemorate it.
