I was born and raised in the great state of Michigan and moved to Montana after getting married in 2023. I have a BA in Art from Benedictine College. Before photography, though, my first passion was horses. Within a year and a half of marriage, my husband and I acquired 5 horses, 6 chickens, 1 rabbit, and a couple stray cats that reside on our meager 20 acres.

I'm a stay-at-home wife who gets to follow her photography dream and be her own part-time boss. There is no better job than the one you wake up looking forward to doing. It takes me to places I've never been, and I love traveling. I've seen so many beautiful places and met so many beautiful people through this job.

When I'm not photographing myself, my friends, my family, or my horses, I enjoy horseback riding and reading books. Last year I discovered Jane Eyre, and it has very easily become one of my top five favorite books. I'm also slowly attempting gardening and feel very homely doing things like baking fresh bread and making homemade laundry detergent.

I am such a kid at heart and will never say no to a taco, pizza, or mac and cheese. My husband is constantly laughing at me, so I must be funny ;) I also tend to live life to its fullest and view it as one, big, spontaneous adventure. I'm honest, hardworking, and I love helping people out and providing my clients with excellent service.

I may be quiet at first, but if you take the time to get to know me, I will be your loyal friend and talk your ear off.

MY PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEY

My love for photography began as early as age 7. I was obsessed with photos and scrapbooking. Around age 10 I desperately wanted to own my own camera. Settling for borrowing my sisters' cameras until I was given my own at age 12, I photographed everything.

When the camera cards filled up, my photography stopped for a period of time (since I didn't know how external hard drives worked). After taking a photography class as a sophomore in college, however, I found anew my passion. I received my first DSLR camera shortly after, gifted by my husband (then boyfriend). It was then that I discovered everything that goes into making a great photo - lighting, subject matter, format, etcetera - and fell in love with the entire process.

In college, I had friends who would pay me to take their senior photos. From there, I was offered my first position as a wedding photographer. I've progressed so much since then, but I am so, so grateful for my college friends who trusted an amateur like me for such an important life event. That really set me off running, and my next three weddings were also supportive friends who didn't want to break the bank.

After my own wedding, I really wanted to kick start my business and joined TheKnot. While I didn't stay with them for very long (for many reasons I won't go into here), they did provide me with my first full wedding season. The rest is history.

It seems to me that every new thing I learn about photography makes me enjoy it even more. With photography, I get to turn the mundane into something beautiful. I can capture the beauty of the world in one shot and tell an entire story with one picture. And I get to freeze precious moments in time.

I love what I do, and I love sharing my passion with others and creating something beautiful and striking to look at that will last a lifetime.

TRAVELING

Duck Creek Village, Utah

September 2024

My husband's side of the family hosted a getaway in the cute town of Duck Creek Village. It was the first time I'd been to Utah, and I absolutely fell in love. We were blessed enough to go to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.

We got to go horseback riding through some beautiful country, hiked 6 miles in Sperry boat shoes, and hung out a lot in the grandest cabin I'd ever seen. I can't wait to go back again!
